Junior Technical Superintendent

Uni-Tankers is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Technical Superintendent to join our technical department.

As a Junior Technical Superintendent, you will assist the technical team in overseeing technical operations, maintaining standards, and ensuring smooth workflows in various technical projects.

Play a Central Role in Ensuring the Safe Operations of Our Fleet

Reporting directly to our Fleet Manager, you will play a crucial role in the daily technical supervision and inspection of our vessels. You will support all technical matters, ensuring that safety is given the highest priority. You will also be required to follow up on vessel performance and arrange corrective actions, when necessary, as well as ensure that all vessel certification and surveys for class, flag, and international requirements are in order.

Key Responsibilities

As our Junior Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

Co-operating and working across all departments with various stakeholders
Assist in the supervision and management of technical projects
Coordinate with various teams to ensure timely completion of tasks
Perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshooting of technical systems
Maintain and update records of technical operations
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Your Qualifications

To perform in this role, you should have a maritime background and an education in engineering (bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field) with experience in technical applications and technical management being advantageous. In addition to good communication and analytical skills, you should be interested in growth and working in a fast-paced technical operations environment.

Are fluent in English (Danish is advantageous)

Development Role

This position is a development role, where you will progress from Junior Technical Superintendent to Technical Superintendent. You will focus on developing your technical skills, while gaining hands-on experience with larger and more complex projects. As you advance, you will eventually be promoted to Technical Superintendent and take on the related responsibilities.
